(Update 05/06/2012 :: It has been cancelled so this painting is not going to go to London anymore, actually the whole LGBTI thing in London seems to be a problem, for some unknown reason, I don't know what. I just wonder how one of the largest cities on the planet hosting the 2012 Olympic games would trash the Pride, where floats and things have been banned and so on, and the military strut their stuff , installing missile launchers on the rooftops and tanks and battleships. To the rumours of the last card, the fake extraterrestrial invasion , the last card or some other false flag on the 4/08 on my birthday with a small nuke going off. However it is said that funding and monetary is said to have cancelled many LGBTI events , where partially most of the funding on the sporting event,  and almost all the money on warheads and war preparation of so called defence, where money has been put forward over human rights., and well being.

unprecedented step and announce that GFEST will not take place this year.

Regretfully, GFEST-Gaywise FESTival, recognised as London's only LGBTQI cross arts
Festival, will be cancelled this year due to lack of funding support.
GFEST - Gaywise FESTival is recognised as the only LGBTQI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer
and Intersex) cross arts festival in London. Last week we received communication from the Arts financing body to
say that they were unable to support our proposal due to a shortage of funds. Around the same time we also
received notification that our revenue support proposal was not commissioned by the local authority. As a result
of this we have to take the unprecedented step of announcing that GFEST, the annual event held November, will
not take place this year. This has been a difficult decision to make and it is with sad heart that we do so in order
to avoid any potential negative impact on the artists. The majority of our options to secure any additional grant
support, commercial and corporate sponsorships were also met with limited or no response.
We are aware that this news may have bearing on future work of Wise Thoughts, the arts charity that organises
this festival. We are committed to other existing planned events and will carry on presenting them over the next
few months. We will also continue in our efforts to keep operations going smoothly and work on new fundraising
options to strengthen the future course. We would like to thank all the artists / filmmakers who submitted their
work for the festival this year and are extremely sorry to cause any inconvenience to them. We are keen to work
with the artists & filmmakers in future wherever an opportunity presents.
We recognise and value the support extended by number of community members, venues, funders, partners and
all the artists who made the last 5 years of festival activities exciting and memorable, despite the enormous
funding challenges in the last three years.
Thank you all for your kind and generous support. We hope we will be able to work with the artists in different
ways and that the torch will be carried on by others presenting the LGBTQI artists and practitioners excellent
work.
